Product Action

The process of skin darkening is a complex chain reaction. Melanin is formed within melanosomes in bodies called melanocytes (2 types of melanin). They are then released from the melanocytes and reach the skin cells. Finally, they are "injected" into the skin cells and grow, thereby causing the skin to turn light brown.
Traditional lightening is achieved by competitive blocking of tyrosinase activity – which prevents melanin formation. Our product addresses the issue of darkening from more than one aspect. Our product includes active ingredients that:
Stop tyrosinase activity through competitive and non-competitive processes.
Certain ingredients prevent the formation of melanosomes within melanocytes.
Other ingredients prevent the release of melanosomes from melanocytes.
Another group of ingredients interferes with the absorption of melanosomes by skin cells. Melanosomes that do not penetrate the cell shortly after their release are destroyed in the extracellular matrix.
In addition to the above processes, there is an actual reduction and breakdown of existing melanin through antioxidants such as resveratrol and others.
